Edward Regan Murphy (born April 3, 1961) is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and singer. He rose to fame on the sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live, for which he was a regular cast member from 1980 to 1984. Murphy has also worked as a stand-up comedian and was ranked No. 10 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time.

Eddie Murphy, what can I say? I loved him in Saturday Night Live as Buckwheat, Gumby, and Fred Rogers. I also loved him in Raw & Delirious (stand-up comedy). When it came down to his acting, I don't know what I liked best, Buddy Love in The Nutty Professor, Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cops, 48 Hours, Boomerang, and the classics. But, my FAVORITE was when he played Quick, in Harlem Nights. Did y'all know that Eddie wrote, executive produced, and directed Harlem Nights? There were a lot of other films as well that I didn't mention, but Eddie Murphy fans know what they are. What was your favorite Eddie Murphy Movie?
